New Braunfels, Texas
Schlitterbahn when you stay with us at TexasRiverCondo forget your car. Walk outside, then
simply wade across the little Comal River and walk in the gate! Your older kids can stay there
while you come back and forth (with your wristband).
Landa
Park is
a 196-acre park near the center of town is the pride of New Braunfels.
Comal Springs, the largest springs in Texas and the source of the
crystalline Comal River, is located in the park.
The
springs were discovered in 1691 by Spanish explorers. Activities there
today include: paddle boats, fishing, rowboats, glass bottom
boats, nature trails, tennis, miniature golf, the unique inner-tube
float down the Comal River, and the Landa Park Miniature Railroad with
its one and one-half mile track around the park.
There
is an olympic size pool and a huge spring-fed pool. There are scores of
beautiful picnic areas shaded by giant, ancient oaks, and a challenging
18-hole golf course.
Golfing in New Braunfels...
Landa Park Municipal Golf Course is
located in the historic 195-acre Landa Park. The original nine hole
course was opened by the City of New Braunfels in 1938, and the
original 61-acre layout is credited to a group that oversaw the course
construction
In
1972 the course was redesigned to eighteen holes and expanded by a
beautiful 52-acres. The clubhouse and pro shop were recently renovated
to include expanded services and facilities. Watch out for the deer!
Texas white tail deer roam the course freely at times, actually they
roam the entire town!
The Bandit Golf Course is
something special from the very beginning. The course winds in and
around Long Creek and Lake McQueeny and plays lovingly with the natural
hazards that these two bodies of water create.

Greune, Texas (Pronounced "Green") was founded by Ernst and Antoinette Gruene in 1840. It's only 15 minutes fromTexasRiverCondo!
This is the home of historic "Gruene Hall," Texas' oldest dance hall.
In this tiny restored ghost town you'll also find a Victorian cottage,
a mercantile store built in 1878 and a cotton gin powered by the
Guadalupe River. Catch a view of the Guadalupe River rapids, as
you eat at the charming hillside Gristmill River Restaurant. Then
arrange your float trip. Great eating and antiques. Canyon Lake, is approximately 30 miles from TexasRiverCondo. It's
noted for its deep blue water and 80 miles of scenic shoreline. There
are seven public parks with swimming areas and boat launches. Camping,
fishing, hiking, biking, boating and golfing are at their best. Boat
rentals are available for both the lake and the river!
